Having previously discussed the history of the Evergreen Brick Works, in this guide I'll introduce you to Toronto's many facilities and activities.

Things to do and visit at the Evergreen Brick Works

Evergreen offers a wide range of activities and events for visitors of all ages. Here are some highlights over the year and during September.

Tiffany Commons

What better place to write about Evergreen than right here at Tiffany Commons? As I craft this guide, I'm sitting on a bench in Tiffany Commons, right across from the Picnic Cafe. I'm thrilled to share what makes this spot so special and what you can look forward to when you visit.

Tiffany Commons, the Brick Works' welcoming front door, is where many visitors first arrive. It's a vibrant gathering space featuring ten mound gardens, a rain cistern, the Watershed Wall, and the Toddlers' Garden. Writing here, surrounded by this peaceful yet lively atmosphere, is the perfect way to introduce you to this incredible venue that will soon host the Rails World conference.

Behind the scenes with an Open Doors tour

Earlier this summer, I had the chance to explore Evergreen's historic and hidden gems with a site tour. My son and I had a great time. I was like a kid in a candy store, snapping photos of almost everything, especially areas marked with "no entry" signs—it was so much fun!

Here are some photos of areas at the Brick Works that aren't open to the general public. Enjoy the exclusive behind-the-scenes view!
